Enjoying the Outdoors // Would you unplug for a weekend?

So, this is my last day to my long four day weekend and I decided at the beginning that I was going to take a break from my computer and cellphone.  It just feels like I am constantly looking at my cellphone.  Life is going to fly by and I want to be able to enjoy things.

Let me tell you... It felt really good to take some time to actually enjoy the things I was doing and not constantly be on my phone. And, hey I didn't miss a thing!

I did learn a few things though by not being on my devices. I love our new front porch.

It's not like I wasn't sitting on our front porch before, but when I was sitting out there I was on the phone or doing something else.  Just to sit out there and take in the fresh air, enjoy a *classy glass of apple cider* my way :) It really helped me relax and time actually slowed down a bit.

I am not saying that you have to unplug all the time or even all weekend for that matter, but if you take one day every now and then and step away from the electronics to ENjoy the Outdoors you will feel better!!!

I mean, I always just snap pictures of sunsets/sunrises and other things I find of interest.

This weekend, I Enjoyed the things around me instead.  I enjoyed the conversations with Michael, I ran around our yard while Reagan (our black lab) chased me.  I enjoyed watching the neighborhood kids ride their bikes up and down the streets and had a nice conversation with our new neighbor.

Now, I am not saying that these things could not have happened if I wasn't on my phone, but in my opinion they were more enjoyable because my phone was nowhere near me.

I was just Enjoying the Outdoors.
Breathing in the Fresh Air.
Relieving the Stress.

How do you Enjoy the Outdoors? Do you like to unplug every once and awhile?

Comment and tell me about it.
