Talking with Jim Crowley from Hook & Hunt TV

Talking with Jim Crowley from Hook & Hunt TV

Several years ago I entered the Bass Pro Shops in East Peoria to do some shopping for the upcoming fishing season.  During the duration of our visit, they kept mentioning on the loud speaker about a seminar that was going to be taking place at the fish tank.   "Jim Crowley from Hook and Hunt TV will be doing a  seminar on..." the announcement said.   I love watching these seminars because there is so much knowledge jammed packed into about 10 minutes.

The seminar was about to start and the crowd began to gather.  Jim Crowley got to the top of the tank and addressed all of us.  "How many of you have had a backlash, birds nest, or whatever you would like to call it?" Jim said.  Only a few of us raised our hands.  "Well at least there are a few people being honest in the crowd today. If you fish with a bait caster a backlash is bound to happen" he continued.

The sseminar went on and we were given a bunch of great tips and information.  After he was finished, I went up and introduced myself.  I told him about Capitol Outdoors and what we do and then moved on through the store to continue our shopping.   Later that day I signed up for his email and "Liked" him on Facebook. That was about 5 years ago and since then Jim and I have been in contact.

Over the years, we've attended more fishing seminars and hunting seminars with Jim.  Capitol Outdoors has also been a guest on his program.  But, this past weekend I had the privilege of having him on the Capitol Outdoors Show and we had a great conversation.

If you haven't checked it out yet, see below. Special Guest Jim Crowley from Hook and Hunt TV, follow this great Illinois Outdoorsman and learn some great safety, instructional, and other useful tips.

If you are interested in meeting Jim or attending one of his seminars there will be plenty of opportunities in 2017. Make sure to follow him and subscribe to his emails for all the updates.
