Illinois Dove Hunting/Permits Now Available

Starting today Illinois Dove permits are available for selected sites across the states. It's free, quick and easy to do. As summer kicks into high gear hunting might be on the back burner for a bit, however it will be here before you know it. Many outdoors men and women use dove season as the start of hunting season, especially for dog training.
Dove Season always starts September 1 and is a great way to get youngsters or an adult introduced to hunting. Why? Early September is still usually warm so the weather is nice, dove are fast and abundant and all you really need is your shot shells and gun. It's only been recently you've seen dove decoys.
Many of us are fortunate enough to be able to spend time fishing, hunting and enjoying the great outdoors. We're all not so lucky. Weather its work or another disruption, we're not able to spend the time outside that we would like.
